ANSWER Partial Incision

The partial incision method opens only a small section of the crease line to remove excess fat and fix the fold. Even those whose eyelid fat makes buried sutures unreliable can expect a defined line without a full incision — a middle path between the buried and incision methods.

When Partial Incision is needed

If any of the following apply to you, we recommend a specialist consultation.

CASE 01

Puffy eyelids

Fat makes it hard for a buried-suture line to hold

CASE 02

Full incision feels daunting

A long incision scar and recovery period worry you

CASE 03

A buried line came loose before

You want a longer-lasting method after a failed buried suture

CASE 04

Thick eyelids

Thick lids keep a defined line from forming

CUSTOM DESIGN

Design that keeps the incision minimal

The essence of partial incision is choosing the smallest incision position and length that still allows the needed work. ANSWER plans the incision segment around fat distribution and line design, shaping an individual line with eye shape and symmetry in mind.

  • 1Incision position and length designed around fat distribution
  • 2Line height and shape planned for left–right symmetry
  • 3Switch to full incision advised when skin sagging coexists

ANSWER POINT

Balancing fat removal and solid fixation

Through the small opening, the fat that thickens the lid is removed appropriately, and the line is fixed directly to tissue at the incision. The hold improves on buried sutures while the scar hides inside the crease, invisible when the eyes are open.

  • 1Precise fat removal through the small opening
  • 2Direct tissue fixation reinforces the hold
  • 3Incision designed so the scar hides in the line

ANSWER Partial Incision: How It's Done

1

Consultation & Eye Analysis

Fat volume and skin condition are checked for partial-incision suitability.

2

Line & Incision Design

Line height is designed along with the minimal incision segment.

3

Fat Removal & Line Fixation

Fat is removed through the opening and the line fixed to tissue.

4

Suturing & Recovery Care

After delicate suturing, stitch removal and swelling are managed.

Frequently Asked Questions

QWill the partial incision scar show?

The incision sits within the crease, hidden by the fold when the eyes are open, and once healed it tends not to show even when closed. Scarring varies individually, so we guide you on care.

QDoes it last longer than buried sutures?

Because fat is removed and the line fixed directly to tissue, a stronger hold than buried sutures can be expected. With significant skin sagging, however, the full incision method may fit better.

QIs the swelling similar to the full incision method?

With a smaller incision, swelling and downtime are shorter than full incision. Most return to daily life in around 5–7 days, and fine swelling settles naturally over weeks.
